Director General of Galmudug Ministry of Diaspora and Investment Development Visits Finland

 Helsinki, Finland — The Director General of the Ministry of Diaspora and Investment Development of the Galmudug State of Somalia Mohamed Yusuf Bakayle was warmly welcomed to Finland for a short but significant visit this week. The visit is seen as a major step in strengthening the ties between the Galmudug state and Finland, particularly in areas of investment, economic collaboration, and diaspora engagement.






During the visit, the Director General met with key Finnish officials and experts in the fields of development, trade, and international relations. The discussions primarily focused on fostering greater investment opportunities in the Galmudug region, as well as exploring ways to improve the engagement and integration of the Somali diaspora within Finland’s economic and social framework.


"This visit highlights the growing relationship between Galmudug and Finland, and we are eager to collaborate on development projects that will benefit both sides," said the Director General during a press briefing. The Director General’s visit comes at a time when Galmudug State is working toward enhancing its economic and infrastructural development, and the partnership with Finland could play a crucial role in attracting foreign investments, improving the welfare of the people, and strengthening diaspora ties.
